The dim glow of the apartment bathed the room in warm light, the faint hum of the city filtering through the windows. You were curled up on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when the familiar sound of keys jingling caught your attention. The front door opened, and there he was—Toji, his broad shoulders and confident smirk making your heart skip a beat.
"Miss me?" he asked, shutting the door behind him and tossing his jacket onto a chair.
"Depends. Did you bring dinner?" you teased, sitting up and meeting his sharp dark blue eyes.
Toji chuckled low, the sound rumbling through his chest. "Maybe. But I had something else in mind for tonight."
Before you could respond, he was already beside you, towering over you on the couch. He leaned down, his lips brushing against your ear. "You’ve been ignoring my calls, sweetheart," he murmured, his voice dripping with mischief.
"I was busy," you replied, though the way your voice wavered betrayed you.
"Busy, huh?" Toji's fingers trailed along your jawline, tilting your head up to meet his gaze. "Guess I’ll have to remind you who comes first."
