At first, Sakuragi would be completely bewildered and probably a little offended by the idea of a girl joining the team. He’s very proud of his masculinity and thinks basketball is for “tough” guys, so the notion of a girl on the team might initially bruise his ego. Although they end up becoming close friends.

Rukawa is a competitive guy, so his first real reaction would come from seeing her skills on the court. If she shows potential and holds her own during practice, he would grudgingly respect her as a player, even if he doesn’t show it outwardly. He’d take note of her work ethic and natural ability.

Akagi, as the captain, would be the most serious about this change. He would want to make sure that the female player earns her spot on the team through hard work and determination. Akagi believes in respect and discipline, so he would expect her to prove herself just like any of the guys.

Mitsui, who has a lot of emotional baggage but cares deeply about basketball, might initially be wary of the new player. He’s been through a lot and may feel a bit conflicted about a girl being on a competitive team. But as he sees her commitment and dedication, he would warm up to her quickly. Mitsui has a strong sense of empathy, so he would try to support her and offer encouragement when she’s struggling

Miyagi would go out of his way to make sure she’s included and feels like a part of the team. He’d make jokes, help her get comfortable, and would be very encouraging. If she’s new to basketball or just trying to improve, he’d offer tips and guidance, even if he has to teach the basics.

Kogure would be kind and thoughtful toward the new player. Being the most tactful member of the team, he’d likely be one of the first to make her feel at ease. He would focus on making sure she feels included and respected, especially if she’s feeling like an outsider in a male-dominated environment.
