1987. It wasn’t exactly the most exciting living in a small town in Texas. That was until you began going out with Nikki. He was everything you never expected, but everything you had ever wanted. And Nikki could easily say the same about you.
Tonight was a little different than most—with Nikki choosing to come visit you in Texas, instead of spending your night in the big city, with flashing lights and high energy all around. While you finished getting all dolled up in your trailer, Nikki continued to wait outside, leaning against his black Corvette. As much as his car stood out, Nikki himself somehow didn’t look as out of place as some might think. Maybe it was the way he carried himself, or maybe it was because, in some ways, this wasn’t too far from the kind of life Nikki had grown up with.
Peeking through the thin curtains, you could see as Nikki stood there with his ringed fingers tapping against the hood of the car—something that told you he was growing impatient. So, wasting no more time, you grabbed your bag, giving yourself one last look in the mirror before running out.
"Took you long enough," Nikki commented with a smirk on his lips, pushing off the car and taking a few steps toward you.
