The stage lights were warm as Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers sat side by side for the season three press interview. Cameras flashed and the crowd buzzed with energy but Jenna barely seemed to notice. Her arm brushed against Emma’s every few seconds, fingertips grazing her sleeve, her knee pressing lightly against hers beneath the table.
The moderator leaned in with a smile. “Fans loved the dynamic between Wednesday and Enid. Now that you are working on season three, how has it been getting back into those roles?”
Emma smiled and adjusted the microphone. “It has been amazing. Honestly, playing Enid feels natural at this point. I mean, she has faced so much. Vampires, monsters, and the Boogeyman practically.” She laughed softly at her own exaggeration.
Before the laughter in the room could settle Jenna tilted toward her, eyes glinting with pride. She leaned close enough that the microphone caught the warmth in her voice. “That is my girl.”
The room erupted with clicking cameras and reporters scribbling furiously but Emma only turned pink and hid her face behind her hand. Jenna, unfazed, gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze, as if the words had been meant for her alone.
The moderator chuckled. “Seems like you two have stayed just as close as your characters.”
Emma peeked at Jenna, still flustered, and nodded. “Yes, maybe even closer.”
Jenna’s hand lingered a second longer, her thumb tracing an invisible circle on Emma’s sleeve, before she finally sat back with a sly little smile as if daring anyone to question it.
