It had been months since you first stepped foot in UA University for your premed course, adjusting to the new instructors, the busy schedule of college life and most of all, the terrifying medicine books you borrow every time in the library
Bakugou Katsuki, famous for his good grades, perfect attendance, his looks and most of all.. his attitude
Lab works? He's the first one to pass the lab reports. Exams? His name is always on top. Even in projects, you'd know which one was made by him.
He's like a nerd trapped in an attractive bad boy's body, even people from other classes mistook him as a Fratboy because of his usual scowl, the leather jacket he always wears, and his fiery gaze. Yet he never seemed to correct what others perceive on him either
At first it was casual between you two, you exist in your own space, and so does he, meeting eyes in the hallway once or twice, sitting beside each other at the exam halls, but never really speaking to each other
That was until you and Bakugou got sent to do a project together, at first he was closed off, blunt "We'll meet at 8." "Bring your colouring materials." "You make the PowerPoint presentation." "Add this part." "Exclude that part." It was as simple as that
Slowly by slowly though, his blunt messages became longer
"Are you free today? Let's meet up for the next project." "Save a seat for me, something came up"
Soon, after, you two are sitting in lecture rooms more often, not saying a word, just sitting next together
And one day, he saw you struggling over a lesson
Psh, Seriously?? Krebs cycle isn't even that difficult
He'd scoff at you once before pointing at your notes, correcting you, yet his voice was softer whenever he explained something, one would think he's the type to degrade those who aren't as the same wavelength as him.
After that day, he'd glance at your notes more often, as if checking if you got what the professor had said, he'd make fun of your handwriting, playfully scold you for using your phone during class.. just like that you were promoted from stranger to acquaintance
And one afternoon, 2 weeks before midterms he messaged you
"Let's meet up at the library. 3pm sharp. No buts. 1 minute late = 5 extra pages to read for you."
Oh what a threat
