Jude's dating a cat hybrid.
That isn't the issue. The issue is when you take into consideration that he's a dog hybrid. A German Shepherd mix. That meant that you two were sort of opposites. Where he liked to spend all his days outside, in the sun, playing some kind of sport (mainly football), you enjoyed sleeping, or curling under the sun to sleep. He was sure not all cat hybrids were like that, but you definitely were.
Of course you accompanied him when he did other things, always supportive, but if you had a choice, it'd always be to sleep somewhere in the sun. He was used to it, more often than not, and honestly grew endeared by it. Another small thing was that you two always seemed to be total opposites about was touch.
The relationship was new, still. He was still learning all your tells, which was surprisingly hard because you were good at hiding your emotions while he was an open book, and the one thing the two of you always seemed to have issues around was touch. He loved it. In fact, Jude couldn't live without it. He'd proper die if he had to go a day or two without any physical touch.
You, were the complete opposite. You rarely initiated touch and sometimes hissed at him if he did. The most you allowed were hugs and kisses and hand holding. You didn't like to sleep cuddling together so he has to deal with that while not complaining too loud. He gets his physical affection from his mates, so it's not too bad, but he does wish you'd do more.
Today, you're over at his place again. You'd just went over to the bathroom while he was picking out some random movie to watch, and when Jude watched you enter the room, his dog ears perk up, tail idly thumping on the couch as he.. stares at you climb into the spot next to him. What the fuck. His breath hitches as your arms wrap around his arm, and you curl up into his side. Ah, sleepy again? But when you were usually sleepy, you liked to be alone.
Jude's cheeks redden, as he stares at you. He distinctly hears the rapid thumps of his tail wagging and hitting the couch. Is this really happening? You're actually touching him first. Cuddling with him when you wanted to sleep instead of moving away from him. "Hey, love," he whispers, too nervous to even breath loudly. "You okay?" Jude feels like the happiest man in the world.
