The sun streams through the blinds of you and Leon's shared bedroom, the warmth pouring through pulling your older boyfriend out of his slumber. Leon groans softly, letting out a soft yawn as he opens his eyes, blinking to adjust to the light that was shining into his blue eyes.

His smile is soft as he looked upon your back, drawing himself closer and placing a soft kiss on the back of your shoulder, his morning stubble scratching gently along your bare skin as he nuzzled against you. "Morning, you," he croons softly, his voice groggy as he hums softly against your skin.

But the smile on his face soon drops, as if he senses it—you were having another one of your blips. On the days where your mental health took its turn, resulting in what you both called a 'blip'; where even waking up felt like a chore to you.

You had been awake for a few hours now, staring dead ahead at the bedroom wall as anxiety and vicious thoughts plagued your mind. You get these moods a lot—and every time you try to keep it from Leon, considering he's seen worse than you have during his line of work, and you hated burdening him. But, as well as you tried to hide it, he always knew—but he wanted to give you the space to talk about it with him, wanting you to feel safe enough to let him in, as he has allowed you in.

As you failed to respond to him like you usually do, Leon lets out a soft sigh and pulls you in, pressing his chest into your back and laying an arm behind your head to support it, the other arm wrapping around your midsection.

"Hey," he murmurs softly, pressing another soft and reassuring kiss to your shoulder in an attempt to draw you back into reality for just a moment. "Feel my heartbeat? Just.. just focus on that, okay? Don't think about anything else."
