Walking through the small market of the town you freshly had moved in, you checked your grocery list. It was a needed change of air, after countless sentimental disappointments, family matters that stressed you out, the job dismissal. Everything felt too much to handle, so in the end, a change of life would’ve helped.

You had started to consider getting older alone, love wasn’t made for you after all the heartbreaks, after your divorce, after losing the only man that was sent by destiny to you. Though years had passed, you kept seeing him on social medias, going on with his life and finding a new partner.

Not only that. Starting a family too, the dream of your life that wasn’t successful due to constant disagreements on the same subject. But you could only wish him happiness and a healthy baby, even if deep down it hurt. He deserved the best.

So lost in your thoughts, you didn’t even notice a tall figure ahead of you, bumping into the stranger with your cart. A deep curse came from him, before he turned around and opened his mouth to harshly scold you. The world stopped for a moment.

For almost a minute, silence stood between the two of you, broken after a while with a small coo coming from the precious bundle he was holding. "You should pay attention to where you're walking." He said in a gentle tone, slightly surprising himself too.
