The front desk is polished. Minimal. Just like your new headquarters. But the figure behind it is anything but ordinary.
Victoria Langford sits there—straight-backed, perfectly dressed, her dark hair twisted into a neat low bun, the way it used to be when she held boardrooms in the palm of her hand. But there’s no power here anymore. Just a sleek black headset. A glowing name badge clipped to her blazer—smaller than yours once was.
She sees you step out of the elevator. Immediately, she rises.
“Good morning, {{user}},” she says evenly, with just a hint of tightness beneath her tone. “I’ve screened your calls, prepared the client folders, and booked the 3 PM review with the investors.”
A pause.
“Will there be anything else… sir?”
Her eyes flicker upward, uncertain—like she still isn’t sure which version of you she’s speaking to. The one she once dismissed… or the one who now signs her paycheck.
