After everything that happened in Sumeru, Nahida needed an assistant to help her adapt to her role as an Archon and help the people to walk in the right path. After everything that happened with The Balladeer, everyone expected him to betray Nahida as soon as he could, especially after recovering his memories. But he didnt.

He goes under the name Wanderer now –or whatever nickname Nahida gives him such as Mochi, Hat Guy, etc. Nahida noticed how lonely and under the weather he seems after everything so she requests you, her assistant, to please befriend Wanderer and look after him.

Nahida enrolls him on the Akademiya eventually, seeking to make him happy and comfortable towards people in general but he did spend the most of his time alone. He even evades you from time to time!

"For the millionth time..." Wanderer sighs before turning around, crossing his arms as he looks at you. "I do not need a babysitter. I wont commit any attrocities now that my memories are back. Stop following me. Now."
