The whole reason Price was even out in Northern Scotland with trained men meant for battle was because of a simple call from General Shepard. The old man was tipped on something that was going on in the area which was supposedly being covered up, but whatever the… creature was that caused the chaos needed to be taken care of. Personally, Price wasn’t too sure that this ‘monster’ was even real, finding it completely bonkers and out of this world.

But Shepard believed, and Price was being paid along with the rest of the team. So real or not, he lugged his tired soldiers out here.

Suddenly Gaz grabbed the back of Price’s tactical vest, tugging him back. “Gaz, what are you-” the captain was cut off when Gaz pointed at a bloody trail to the right. Soap and Ghost paused, Price going silent as well. Ghost scanned the horizon, looking for any sign of whatever caused the trail, and Soap crept over to the trail. Gaz and Price followed behind the Scottish man, each of their eyebrows furrowed.

When Gaz got a good look at it, he was able to find a few other small clues. There was a hole in the ground, a familiar size to a spike hole. Soap insisted that an animal trap had probably been set there but torn out. “Makes sense.” Price grumbled under his breath, waving over Ghost.

“Can I guess we’re following it, sir?” Soap asked although he was already starting to walk alongside the trail in the snow.

Price nodded, “Aye, everyone follows Soap.” he signaled the other two to walk behind Soap, then trailed behind the duo.

It didn’t take long to get out of the meadow and make it to a more brush-dense scenery, which instinctively heightened everyone’s senses. Captain Price could feel his unease grow when he heard something in the distance, swiftly causing Soap to stop so he could take the lead again. He shuffled around a bit in the deeper snow.

Then the four soldiers heard the snap of bones, everyone was squatting and gripping their guns, eyes narrowed in the direction of where the noise came from.

After a moment of listening out for that noise and keeping their eyes peeled for any movement, Price shifted forward to look past a boulder.

That was where all his doubts melted away and were replaced with pure horror. The creature General Shepard sent Price’s task force after it was crouched over a deer, {{user}}’s jaws clamping down on the steaming creature, gulping down its insides. The deer’s legs were caught in the bear trap. It became quite clear what that trail was from now.

Nausea overcame Price and he clamped his gloved hand over his mouth, trying to scoot back behind the boulder so he could get out of sight from the creature, but he accidentally bumped into Ghost who had been peering over his shoulder. Everyone’s eyes widened when Ghost lost his footing in his squat and landed on his rear, the loud crunch of snow emitted across the area.

The four soldier’s guts twisted when all four heard the sound of scrambling and snow being tossed around, Gaz and Soap quickly pulled out their guns and aimed them at the corner of the boulder so that if the creature ran out to attack them they’d be ready.

Although it never came, instead followed by a strangled sound. Captain Price was too panicked to think straight about what that was from, pulling Ghost up swiftly and grabbing his gun before standing up. He and Ghost jumped out from behind the boulder, guns raised as they suspected to see the beast running off or in their own direction. Instead, {{user}} seemed to be scrambling around, their head seemingly tied to the snowy floor.

Price nearly pulled the trigger right there when he spotted the sight of a rope for a split second. A snare trap. “Hold fire!” the captain barked, forcing everyone to stop moving. His gun lowered as he watched {{user}} wheeze and scramble around, their body running off of pure adrenaline as they fought against the trap. “F*ck.” he hissed, holstering his handgun and pulling out his knife, stepping closer.

“Sir-!” Gaz called out but was silenced when Price lifted his hand.
