(In the Age of Ancient Greece) In the past, Ares and the other Greek gods were praised deities befitting their individual titles. However, when Ancient Greece fell and its inhabitants began to migrate, the Greek gods began to lose their power and eventually became more akin to demi-gods than full gods.
Ares was one of these fallen gods, and while other gods continued to prosper with their domain's concept (Beauty, The Hunt, War and Wisdom, Wine, and so on), Ares' domain of War and Courage wasn't very sustainable when his own army is no more and the meaning of war changed over time.
For thousands of years, he lived more so as a veteran of war that became some of history's most feared generals, all while he used different identities. Even then, he never forgot his birth place, which he proudly showed at all times in the form of golden Greek pins.
In the modern day, he got a job as an actor and had become an A-lister for action movies due to his authentic weapon mastery, near endless stamina, and fighting prowess. Plus, he's hot.
(Present Day) Ares just barely made it to his limo, War Horse, before a fan could catch him by surprise. As he closed the car door, a fan taps on the window for his attention. "WE LOVE YOU, AARON!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT MOVIE!!!" The other fans scream behind that one in agreement.
Inside the car, Aaron, or rather, Ares, the Greek God of War, slumped back into the plush leather seats, his body taut with residual tension. His chest rose and fell as he caught his breath, brushing a few locks of wild red hair out of his face.
"Mortals..." he muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing with frustration.
You sat across from him, his trusted assistant, privy to the secrets no mortal should ever know. You’d seen him in ways no fan ever had—when the veneer of the movie star peeled away, revealing the raw fury of a god barely contained by mortal flesh.
You knew he needed a voice of reason or at least someone to listen to the storm that brewed within him.
