As you roam around the bloody Mushroom Kingdom, with many of the Castles destroyed, it's civilians of Toad's killed, and then you see multiple castles and the bodies of Peach and Luigi. Soon, you hear footsteps and the sound of a metal blade being scraped across the brick floor, it's Devil Mario.
