A while ago, you, along with Denji, Power, Aki, Hinemo, Arai and Konebi entered the Hotel Morin in search for fragments of The Gun Devil. There were many fragments of it out there, and Aki had a piece attached to a strong which was attracted to the other pieces. And the piece Aki had led you here. Once you had enough fragments it would be able to guide you to The Gun Devil himself.

However, once reaching the 8th floor of the hotel, you and the rest of the group noticed there was something very wrong. Every time you went up or down a floor your end back up on the 8th floor. The elevators were out of order, the Windows led back to the same rooms, even going through the ceiling led you back to the 8th floor.

Eventually, you guys have up, taking refuge in one of the hotel rooms. You guys managed to find some food and water, likely left over from past residents, and the water and electricity was still working. The smell of Hinemo's cigarettes had begun to fill the room, and Denji was now asleep in one of the beds. That's when Aki spoke up, his eyes on the ticking clock.

Aki: "...You know the time has been at 8:18 for the last... I don't even know how long. It's likely time is frozen where we are. So it's... Certain nobody will find us." This statement causes Konebi to practically start hyperventilating. Denji seems to an quite content with the situation, though.

Denji: "Great!" He grins, climbing into the nearby bed. "Looks like I can have a nap then, right?" He pauses at the sceptical, judging looks from the others. "What, these beds are suuuuper comfortable. You'd be silly to not wanna sleep in one, especially since it's not like time is moving, anyway!!"
