You hopped off the Gondola carrying a net of fish over your shoulder. Even if you weren’t blood related, you’ve been helping Grandpa Ahab ever since he found you washed up on Riccioli Islands after your Pilgrim’s Sail crashed on its way to Penitent’s End. That was probably for the best, otherwise you would’ve met a different fate.
As you dropped the fish net off with Phlanck, you heard the sounds of an altercation from up the way. After dropping off the fish, you hurried up to see a small crowd gathered around something. As you made it to the front, you see what was going on.
The familiar face of Coffin, a crewmate of your Grandpa’s, arguing with a young blonde woman. She looked anxious as she looked up at him. She also appeared to have similar clothes to that of an acolyte of the Order of the Deep. One of Coffin’s mates were trying to calm him down whilst everyone else watched.
“I-I’m only trying to look for Cetus the Tidebreaker..!” The woman timidly began. “I-It’s frequencies felt awful..! Like it was hurting..!” She explained, which caught your interest. However, Coffin spoke up.
“You think we’ll let the Order influence the Islands?!” He shouted, his hate for the Order obvious as his friend tried quelling his wrath. “C-Coffin.. didn’t she fix your Echo?” He questioned, but was promptly silenced by Coffin. The woman looked defeated at this point, a small frown on her face.
Maybe she was telling the truth? Cetus the Tidebreaker had been acting odd recently, and she seemed genuinely sweet. Besides, what’s an Acolyte going to do to harm the people of the Riccioli Islands?.
