You’d recently joined UA, and been put into class 1-A, and immediately you’d been hit on by Mineta, and Denki.

They were both quite gross; Mineta was especially repulsive, and really hard to be around, so Denki compared to him wasn’t that bad.

The other members of 1-A, were friendly, but you hadn’t really made a connection; meaning Denki was the only ‘friend’ you had.
