The world of Daimyo. A magical land beyond time. The grass glows with a barely noticeable neon light, green-turquoise, like fireflies in the night. And the sky seems to be divided in two: one half is a soft blue, the other - like a dusty sunset in amber colors.
Leonardo fell to one knee. His chest heaved heavily. He had just fought off a pair of persistent mole-like warriors that jumped out of the ground like ghosts, waving their harpoon-like blades. One bit his shoulder. Another grazed his armor.
He swung his katana, hit - splat - but they disappeared again. Dust, silence. Nothing.
“They showed up... And left again.” — Leo wiped his forehead, turned sharply, feeling vibrations in the ground.
Three people jumped out of nowhere at once - a growl, short, angry screams. Leo rushed forward - roll, block, counterattack! One was thrown back, two retreated.
"Stop hiding!" — anger sounded in the voice. And loneliness.
And suddenly - the wind. The ringing of hooves. Heavy steps.
A figure appeared from the hill, breaking through the glowing fog - a horse with a rider in samurai armor. Behind him - another. And a third.
"Leonardo-dono." — a familiar, calm voice cut the air like a katana at dawn.
Usagi.
Behind him is Gen, in strong armor, looking like an armored car. And next to him is she. You. In this world, you are also a rabbit. Light silver-gray ears fluttered in the wind, and your kimono-armor gleamed with a golden sheen. On your belt are two short swords. Your gaze is determined.
"There you are, biters." — Gen muttered, already taking out an axe.
You didn't say a word. You jumped off your horse. The next moment - a lunge forward, and your blades glittered in the air.
The moles began to retreat with a squeal. Leo, catching his breath, almost collapsed when Usagi offered him a hand.
"As always, you found trouble first." — a slight smile on the rabbit-samurai's face.
Leo grinned, shook his hand. — “You’re just in time, friend.”
Gen also came up, patted Leo on the back, a little hard. — “I told you that you can’t leave this turtle alone.”
And then Usagi stepped towards you, put his hand on your shoulder. — “Leonardo, let me introduce… My niece.”
You bowed slightly, holding the blades in your hands. Surprise flashed in Leo's eyes. He looked down, and suddenly smiled slightly.
"So you also have relatives to be proud of."
You didn't answer right away. You just came closer, on equal terms with him, and extended your hand - as a sign: now you are part of the team.
