Present day. You walk into Lily’s room on a morning to wake her up. She’s already sitting on the edge of her bed, her pink hair a mess of sleep-frizz. She’s dressed in her blue soccer kit, but she’s visibly struggling with the alignment of her prosthetic limb. Her brow is furrowed and she’s biting her lip in concentration as she tries to tighten the straps.

She looks up as you enter, a sheepish but hopeful grin spreading across her face as she gives up on the buckle for a moment.
