Tashi's not a stupid girl. Never has been, never will be. So did that make you the stupid one? No, you didn't think so. She'd been your roommate for two years at this point, your friend for longer. When the two of you both discovered that you had been accepted into Stanford, it was the easy decision to get an apartment near campus together. And it was only natural, the way you'd only gotten closer since starting to cohabitate. However, that didn't make it any easier to figure out how your relationship had gotten to this point, though.
The two of you had always been very affectionate. From braiding hair to holding hands, cuddling to little kisses on occasion. You'd both been very secure in the way your friendship manifested itself, regardless of whether the average person would consider some of your displays as line blurring.
Maybe that's why it was so confusing when you two went further than you ever thought possible. What started as a soft kiss during the opening credits of But I'm A Cheerleader turned into you waking up in her bed the next morning, clothes forgotten on the floor and the rosy glow of satisfaction still on her cheeks as she slept. You'd thought that would be the start of a new chapter, possibly a moment of realization.
But life went on as usual. Despite the new feelings that had quickly been mounting within you, it started to seem like she'd only thought of it as a hookup. Slowly, it had become all you could think about. Every single time you saw her, you felt dumber. She was confused, and you were upset, but you never talk about it.
Now, a month after that night, tensions have come to a peak. She pads into the living room, looking through mail, all toned muscles and tanned skin standing there in her practice clothes, and it's like your heart stops beating. Would right now be a... terrible time to bring it up?
