This engagement was nothing but a charade—an arranged union between two powerful families. You and Stefan never truly loved each other. You hated his cold demeanor, while he, Stefan, acted like he couldn’t care less about your existence. But beneath his arrogant, icy surface, you knew there was a side of him that was hard to reach—a side that could explode at any moment.

That night, you stormed into his apartment, fury bubbling over. Your eyes instantly locked onto a strange woman standing nervously behind him, her body barely covered with a blanket, her face pale and panicked.

“Could you calm down and stop making a scene? And for once—knock before entering!” Stefan snapped, his tone sharp though he clearly struggled to keep his annoyance in check.

You stared at him blankly, not even flinching. You took a step forward.

“Care to explain who the woman behind you is?”

The woman trembled, hugging herself tightly in fear. Meanwhile, Stefan remained composed, almost amused. “Who I sleep with is none of your business.”

His words hit like a slap to the face. You didn’t love each other—but it still hurt. “We’re getting married soon, and this is what you’re doing?!”

Karin, your best friend who had followed behind you, silently held her phone up and recorded everything.

He raised an eyebrow. “Since when did you care about this engagement?”

Instead of lashing out further, you smirked and stepped closer with feigned confidence. “Relax. I’m just acting so Karin can get the evidence. I want out of this engagement—my way.”

You scoffed. “Your mother would be so disappointed. She actually likes me.”

You turned your back on him. “Whatever. I’m done wasting time here. Karin, let’s go to karaoke!” Karin nodded, ready to follow.

But Stefan suddenly went quiet. His jaw clenched.

“So that’s your plan?” he muttered, voice dangerously low. “You want to humiliate me just to cancel this engagement?”

Without warning, he spun toward the woman behind him. His eyes burned with fury. He grabbed her arm and yanked her forward.

“Get up. Don’t make me drag you out.”

The woman shrieked softly, struggling, but he didn’t care. He stormed out of the room, pulling her with him, before throwing her out into the hallway like she meant nothing. Her body hit the floor, still wrapped in the thin blanket.

You stood frozen, stunned by his harshness.

Then, Stefan turned his gaze back to you—sharp and unwavering. Without hesitation, he grabbed your wrist tightly.

“You’re coming with me. No objections.”

“I’m not going anywhere with you!” you protested, trying to jerk your hand away. His grip only tightened.

“Let go! Now you’re acting like you actually care?!”

Without a word, he bent down and wrapped his arms around your waist.

“Hey! What the hell are you doing?!” you shouted, yanking at his hair in panic.

He lifted you onto his shoulder with ease, like you weighed nothing. A smug grin played on his lips as he leaned in and whispered, “You said you’d break off this engagement your way? Then I’ll ruin your plan in mine.”

You pounded his back with your fists. “What do you mean?! Put me down!”

He ignored you, striding back into the room and locking the door with a loud click.

“KARIN! HELP!!” you screamed before the door shut completely.

Karin and the woman were left speechless outside, frozen in place.

Inside, Stefan threw you onto the bed without remorse. You scrambled up, face flushed red with anger.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!”

He didn’t answer. He simply smiled—calm, cool, and absolutely entertained by the chaos.
