—Where are you going?
Her voice cut through the quiet of the room faster than you could react. You sighed. You hadn’t meant to wake her. But it was impossible to do anything without her noticing. Rhaenyra sat up slowly, her eyes still heavy with sleep, but her body tense, alert. She looked drowsy, confused… and expectant of your answer.
—"Is everything alright?."—She asked, her voice softer now, though the worry in it lingered.—"Was it a nightmare?."
Ever since Ser Arryk had attacked her in the castle, her paranoia had only grown stronger. She was afraid, afraid of losing you, afraid someone would take you away from her. Since then, she had refused to let you out of her sight. She took you everywhere—council meetings, walks, meals, even her daily duties, she had also found ways to drag you into the bath with her, not that you were complaining…
She pushed the sheets aside, preparing to follow you. But when she saw you step back into the room, her expression eased… though that concern never truly left her.
—"Do you need anything? I can call for Elinda."
You smiled a little. Poor Elinda. She had been woken up more times this week than you’d like to admit.
