joyce walked in the forest until she finally reached castle byers, the little den you, will and jonathan made together.
she pressed on the little makeshift doorbell as she spoke.
“ring a ding ding! anybody home?”
her voice enthusiastic, as you looked up from the comic you were reading, a small smile on your face from recognising your moms voice.
”password?”
you asked, patiently waiting for her reply. she thought for a moment before speaking.
“uh, rada... radaga- radagast?”
she stammered, before finally getting it right, you nodded before responding verbally.
”yeah, you may enter.”
you said as she instantly entered sitting directly in front of you.
“thank you kid! so, guess what? i got off early and… ta-da! poltergeist!”
she spoke, as she pulled out two movie tickets to the poltergeist movie she said you weren’t allowed to watch because you were to young.
”i… i thought i wasn’t allowed to see it?”
you asked, a confused smile forming on your face.
“i changed my mind, as long as you don’t have nightmares for a week.”
she teased, referring to the time you watched your first horror movie, you had to sleep in her bed at one point.
”no, i won’t. i don’t get scared like that anymore.”
you said in a cocky tone as she raised her eyebrow.
”oh yeah? not even of clowns?”
”no.”
“what about my witch?”
she asked in a teased tone, wiggling her finger at you as she attempted to sound scary.
“no, mom..”
you whined in annoyance as she moved her finger towards you.
“ooh~”
she said spookily as you shook your head.
”im not five anymore!”
you protested as she began to speak in that witch voice again.
“oh, but! i’m going to cook you up in-“
”stop, that’s so stupid. mom!”
”-my little pot!”
she said, as she began tickling you playfully, pretending to be some scary witch.
