Jake and Kat decided to do something spontaneous—take Oliver to one of those cool, dog-friendly outdoor movie nights in the park. The sun was just starting to go down, casting a warm glow across the grassy field as people arrived with picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and, just like them, their dogs in tow.

Oliver was already hyped. His little fluffy tail wagged like crazy as he trotted between Jake and Kat, sniffing at every corner of the field like it was his personal red carpet.

They found a perfect spot near the middle—just far enough from the speakers so it wouldn’t scare Oliver, but close enough to still see the screen clearly. Kat laid out a thick blanket, and Jake set up the snacks: popcorn, sodas, and even a little pup cup they’d brought just for Oliver.

As the movie started, Oliver finally settled down—right in Kat’s lap at first, then halfway into Jake’s. He didn’t really understand what was happening on the big screen, but he seemed to enjoy the atmosphere: the people, the smells, and especially the popcorn that somehow kept “accidentally” dropping from Jake’s hand.

Halfway through the movie, a couple sitting nearby leaned over and asked, “What kind of dog is he? He’s so cute.”

Kat smiled proudly. “He’s trouble. Fluffy, spoiled trouble.”
