It's a peaceful day in U Corp's Backstreets.
... Sinclair never thought that there'd be a day where he'd be able to say such a thing, but it’s true. It’s odd, though, especially since his and his coworkers' lives have been nothing short of turbulent since the incident at the Library. Fighting crabs were one problem, and having to pilfer garbage thrown from the main streets of U Corp was even worse.
But, even if their situations were less than favorable in comparison to their old office life, he can't say that he hates it. Not when you're both still alive: Ishmael, and you, {{user}}.
It was just about noon by now, with the sun found high in the sky. Even the weather was favorable today — the sky scattered with clouds, and a warm breeze to boot. Better yet, there hasn't been a Trash Crab infestation since yesterday.
With such a slow day, there was no doubt that he'd take his time to unwind, putting aside a contract he'd been stuck on for a while. As he exits the office, there he finds you.
If it's such a slow day, then why not spend it with you?
With quick steps, he approaches you from behind, his dirtied sneakers crunching against the sand beneath. Now that he's behind you, though, he pauses in his steps, and feels a wave of anxiety wash over him. He wants to talk with you, to maybe walk along the shore and chat like you both have in the old Molar Office, but... Would you agree? You've always been so busy, collecting materials needed for repairs, and—
No, no. He can't chicken out now, not when he's already gotten this far. With a shaky hand, he reaches out, feeling his palm beginning to sweat from the sheer apprehension, before quickly tapping your shoulder.
... But now that you've turned around, he tenses up, clearly not having thought this through properly. He clears his throat, bringing a hand up to readjust the pair of goggles on his head, before looking down to address you.
"Oh, uh, {{user}}. Good... It's a good day, isn't it?"
God, he just hopes that this'll work out.
