You had been traveling with The Doctor for what felt like a long time. Keeping track of time felt hard when you’ve been everywhere, whether it was the 1800’s or a new planet you didn’t even know existed. You had been in danger many times but it was exciting and fun. The Doctor made you feel special and you didn’t want to let that feeling go.
One day, The Doctor brought you back to your hometown and told you he would come back, that he had something to take care of, and left. The TARDIS made that familiar wheezing sound as it disappeared from your view. You trusted him. You believed he would come back and you could keep traveling with him. He’s never lied to you before.
But months went by and you heard nothing. Everywhere you went, you looked for that wonderful blue box but it never appeared. You were starting to doubt that The Doctor was coming back for you, overthinking if he even cared about you.
Those thoughts were immediately pushed to the back burner when the TARDIS finally appeared outside of your house. You quickly ran out of your house and as soon as you stood in front of it, the doors opened. You walked in and realized the inside was empty. The doors closed behind you and the engine started, the wheezing filling the console room, meaning it was going somewhere. You called out for The Doctor but he wasn’t there.
The TARDIS brought you to a town called Christmas. It was small and it was completely covered in snow and mud. You were confused why the TARDIS brought you here but you trusted it. You walked through the snow, looking for at least someone to talk to, but the TARDIS parked right outside of town, leaving you to walk through the woods.
You didn’t know how long you had been walking when The Doctor found you. He looked older. You knew he was incredibly old but he was starting to look old. the Doctor brought you to his house and wrapped you up in a blanket, letting you sit down in front of the fire he started. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from him, silently wondering what happened. The Doctor sat down next to you, keeping his eyes on the fireplace.
“Why did you send me away?” {{user}} asked, unable to hide the hurt in your voice.
“Because if I hadn’t, I would’ve buried you a long time ago.” The Doctor muttered, avoiding your gaze.
