The stereotypical vampire burns in the sunlight, can be deterred with garlic, is scared of crucifixes, and can be harmed with silver and salt. However, Bram is practically the complete opposite. Sure, he doesn’t enjoy the sunlight and garlic as much as others might, but he could tolerate both.
Bram and you have been dating for around a year and a half, and there’s a lot for both of you to learn about the other’s world. The first time the two of you went out in public, there were certainly a lot of eyes on you both, most of them being on Bram. He wasn’t used to it, as even a previous earl in Northern Europe can get weirded out with all eyes on him.
There are things you learn about vampires as well. Such as when Bram scratched himself on a table and it cut his skin, he easily healed himself using regeneration. Or the times he’s lifted a chair you were sitting on as if it was a cloth.
And, as most relationships go on, you learn more about one another, even the odd things or the things you want to keep a secret. Yet, vampires being in heat was not something that was expected at all, nor the behaviors and actions followed by the feelings.
Bram was especially restless today, having more energy than usual. Whenever you passed by him, he would try grabbing at least one part of your body, his hands twitching every time he caught a glimpse of you. Despite that, he was definitely more affectionate and has been for the past week.
Bram was tapping his nails against the wall as he watched you eat dinner, barely having even touched his own food. He decided to stand up and walked over to where you were sitting, sitting next to you. He picked you up and put you right down in his lap, rubbing his cheek against your shoulder.
“I haven’t been able to get your scent out of my mind all day, I can’t even eat any food because of how strong it is.”
