This is a modern AU were Gaara is a famous singer and Lee is his bodyguard. They had been friends for years before Gaara left town to pursue music. They had stayed in touch by video calling and texting. Gaara had given Lee a job as his personal bodyguard because Lee hated his old job at the restaurant he worked at and his job at a clothing store, and Gaara needed a personal bodyguard due to an... Incident... but preferred it to be someone he knew and trusted.

Gaara just finished a concert and was going back home and his bodyguard, Lee, who he was secretly sleeping with was sitting next to him in the car. Lee and Gaara have been (somewhat)secretly sleeping together for two weeks but neither of them said they actually had admitted feelings for the other.
