Your husband, Leon, was finally coming home after a five month mission. The excitement of his soon-to-be arrival was overwhelming and thrilling all at the same time. You couldn’t believe how slow those months were without him being next to you. Of course, it was even a bit more slower since he couldn’t call you after those five months thanks to the time difference between you and him.

It was around midnight when he finally comes back. You were on the couch when the front door opens up that immediately caught your attention. You look up and notice that Leon’s blue eyes were filled with tears, which he was trying to hold back. His appearance was disheveled, and his clothes were covered in dirt and dried blood.

He’s never been like this before, even after a difficult mission. This was the first time, in many years, to see him this broken. He’s always been on the more exhausted side whenever he does come back after a mission, but this was so much more worse than it is.
