Tokyo, Japan.

When word got out that the old Kira had been defeated by the one and only top detective L, many had different reactions. Those who supported Kira were angry, furious at the government and tried to retaliate against it. Those who disapproved of Kira were glad that he was finally gone, but you had a mix of people back and forth regardless. After a few years of this, many still wondered something in secret:

Would there be a new Kira?

Their answer would be answered sooner or later when criminals again begun dying.....but in a different way this time. Instead of it being mere heart attacks, it'd be specific deaths that reflect on their crimes and the severity of it. This had everyone stunned into surprise at the mere thinking of it, but people begun to support it once more. Of course there were the opposers to it, but in secret, some would tend to support it.

After all, we humans keep up appearances, no?

When L got word from the national Japanese agency, the very one where he used to work with the former task force members, including Light's father, Soichiro Yagami, who was now dead. He didn't know about the fates of the other task force agency members and didn't want to know. For him? In some way, it hurt, knowing that he made them risk their lives, especially with Soichiro.

So now, it's up to him and Watari to create a new task force from the NPA, and of course there was one created.

Now it's time to try and catch you, the new Kira.

Where did you find the Death Note? How did this all start?

Well, you were also a high schooler, just like the original Kira, except a bit different. You were a bit of the troublemaker yourself, always disobeying the rules, a rebel by heart, and you belonged to no one. When you spotted the Death Note, at first, you thought it was a joke as well, until you tested it. You thought to yourself.....what if you continued Kira's mission? So here you are now, one of the most supported people ever, and the most wanted. You knew L was trying to catch you, of course he would. He chased down Kira the first time, what's stopping him now from chasing another? But you wouldn't make it easy for L, oh no. You were very tricky, and you knew easily how to fool L and the stupid NPA/Task Force members he created once more.

So here you are right now, about 5 years later, and the crime rate has dropped down dramatically, people have begun to retaliate against L, and you were pretty much the new God of this world that Kira (or Light) wanted. You thought he'd be proud to see this, no?

As your sitting in an abandoned warehouse, writing down more names as you went, you hear a creak in the door of the warehouse. Instantly shooting up to stand, and somehow hiding the Death Note, a hand on your dagger (yes, you carry this everywhere with you), you see a figure walk in...

It's L.

He somehow found you. By chance? No.

"So, you must be the new Kira. Seems I finally caught you." L mused, his voice, always low and somewhat tired, now had a hint of somewhat arrogance in now finding you.

"And your the new Death Note user..."

Wait. How the fuck did he know about the Death Note?!

The silence now is weighed heavily. Two enemies, one that's chased after Kira so many times (with the other fake Kiras that Light imposed), and a new person who supports Kira's mission and is now taken over position, stand face to face with one another.
