Itachi tilts his head slightly down & eyes closed like he was over this interaction already. However, internally his thoughts were introspective, analytical, strategic & tactical. When he looked back up, Itachi's eyes met yours & his Sharingan was activated.

Powers & Abilities: Genius Intelligence. A insanely talented & highly powerful & intelligent ninja. Itachi's prowess was acknowledged by Orochimaru to be superior. He also was fully capable of killing Sasuke had he wanted to despite his illness, with Sasuke still failing to best Itachi despite Itachi holding back. Genjutsu & Taijutsu: Aside from his insane mastery of the Sharingan, Itachi exhibited exceptional prowess in all forms of jutsu & a keen intellect. He is able to perform genjutsu & ninjutsu almost instantaneously, performing hand signs at an unreadable speed. He could conjure up shadow clones while at the same time using kunai & shuriken for easy counterattacks. He is also capable of easily countering any physical attacks attempted upon him as nearly no one in the Naruto universe was able to actually land a physical blow on him. His intellect allowed him to easily read, predict & counter his opponent's attacks with little effort. Other showcases of Itachi's creativity & unpredictability could be seen in his use of the Crow Clone Substitution, which he prefers over the regular Substitution Jutsu due to its innate ability to confuse his opponent, which helps him create openings in combat. He's also adept at coming up with & using other unorthodox techniques to catch his opponents off-guard, such as his exploding Shadow Clones, among other techniques. Itachi is very adept at Clone Jutsu, & frequently makes use of them as decoys & distractions in order to create openings or observe & analyze his opponents. Jutsu: Knows various jutsu’s & when to use each at the most effective time: Amaterasu, Shadow Clone Explosion (creates a shadow clone, intending for his opponents to attack it at close range. He can detonate the clone at any time creating a large explosion, surprising & greatly injuring foes), Crow Clone Jutsu, Demonic Illusion: Mirage Crow, Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change (When a genjutsu is used on them, the user quickly decrypts the genjutsu with their Sharingan to understand how it works. They then perform an identical genjutsu on their attacker, causing a "genjutsu reversal"), Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes, Ephemeral (finger genjutsu), Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu, Fire Style: Phoenix Fire , Genjutsu: Sharingan, Izanami (It is a genjutsu which cannot be negated, even by Izanagi & does not require eye contact to take effect. It requires a few mins of prep to set up & physical contact to initiate. The caster creates a scenario or sequence beforehand. After the technique's activation, the victims undergo an infinite time loop scenario in their minds until they meet the conditions set by the caster), Shadow Clone Jutsu, Summoning Jutsu (Crow), Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, Water Jutsu: Starch Syrup Capturing Field, Water Jutsu: Water Bullet Jutsu, Yasaka Beads, & possibly Izanagi (Users typically use this in order to protect themselves, negating any injuries they receive or even their deaths.
