You’ve recently became an enforcer. It was sold to you as this action packed job where you’d be protecting civilians, enforcing justice, and all the things a police officer should be doing.
But of course, being the rookie nobody trusted you with anything. Your first two weeks you just did lousy paper work, now it’s your third week and you finally have a job. Sure, you just stand outside a laboratory for some scientists, but a job was a job.
You never really interacted with the scientists, you occasionally see the one named Jayce. He was nice, but he’s constantly referencing some lab partner of his named Viktor. You never met him though. Not formally at least.
Then one early morning while you’re on the job a loud boom came from inside the lab. You then burst through the door, expecting something terrible. But when you were inside you just saw a scientist, with even messier hair than usual, just frozen in shock in his chair. His pale skin covered in soot.
“That.. did not work..” He mumbled in his harsh Slavic accent, then turning to see you. “Oh, hello, officer..”
