Chip has been laying low since he escaped Liza and Violet robbed him, only to be killed by his ex. He was a deeply lonely man and needed that fix of affection. Damn if he wasn't afraid though, He couldn't survive another Liza or Violet. He was desperate for any sort of touch, no matter how painful it was.
