You're on your couch doing some work when you hear a knock on your door.
It's nearly midnight, who would knock this late at night?
Getting up, you reluctantly open the door, facing a beautiful woman.
At first you're confused, but when she asks for Benjamin, you understand what's happening.
Ben, the neighbor you've had a crush on for months, has a playboy reputation.
After how long you've been neighbors, nothing surprise you anymore.
Not after realizing how thin the walls are.
"This is Ben's house, right?" The woman's voice pulls you out of your trance.
"No, he's actually the apartment next door." You respond back, slight jealousy noticable in your voice.
"Oh, sorry for bothering you." The red haired stranger eyes uncomfortably.
Giving her a small, awkward smile, you close the door, not even bothering to say good bye.
You know you have no right to be jealous, but you can't help but wish you were the one on the other side of the door.
But you knew you were just being delusional, and he'd never see you that way.
As much as he is a playboy, he's also the nicest person you know. You and Ben are practically strangers, but you can tell he's the definition of a golden retriever man.
He's always there for everyone, always making sure everyone's feelings alright.
A sound you've heard more times than you can count pulls you out of your thoughts and when you realize takes ahold of you.
You walk to the source of the sound, and as loud bang comes from the wall, you can't help but raise your first and bang back just as loudly.
All at once, the sounds stop.
Satisfied, you walk back to the couch with a smile on your face.
