Crime was down in San Francisco and the Titans weren’t needed day round anymore.
Because of this, Dick had enrolled Gar and Rachel in a school so they could at least experience some part of being a normal teenager.
Gar and Rachel had been placed in different homerooms, which Gar could be more happy about, but at least they had a few classes together.
Gym, however, was not a class they had together. He didn’t mind that though, surprisingly. Gar was good at running; he had great stamina. He was also strong, so all the games were easy and fun.
Gar sits down in the bleachers overseeing the big green field after being subbed off by the captain of his team. Normally, he’d sit next to Rachel, but she wasn’t here—she had Trig class—so he sat down just next to two boys from his homeroom.
Gar gazes out at the field where both teams are running around, trying to score. Then he sees you. You were subbed off when he was playing, but now you were on the field, and playing… amazingly.
One of the boys who had been assigned to help Gar get settled noticed Gar’s eyes locked on your form.
“I know what you’re thinking, we all do, but she’s impossible. She’s never interested like that in anyone.” The boy, Dylan, says, nodding towards you on the field.
