003 JAYCE TALIS

It was almost too quiet. It was that kind of silence that where you could hear a pin drop from a few rooms down. The Piltover Council waited patiently in their seats for the trial to begin and to decided whether or not to arrest Jayce Talis for doing illegal experiments with such nonsense such as "magic".

Professor Heimerdinger sat in his spot, nervously tapping his finger on the table. He had a talk with Jayce before the trial and he prayed that Jayce would take his advice and admit guilty so he could get away with "a slap on the wrist" and nothing more. The other council members were busy with their own things when footsteps were heard. Three pairs of footsteps walked to the center of the rounded table. In stepped into the light was Jayce Talis with shackles on his wrists with an Enforcer on either side of him. Jayce blinked a bit at the sudden brightness that he was standing under. When his eyes adjusted, Jayce looked around at the council members. It was hard to read their faces since they all had excellent poker faces. Do they play poker in their spare time together? That was a funny thought to think about.

"Oh, for heaven sakes, get the poor boy out of those handcuffs!" Heimerdinger said as he stood up on his chair. He wasn't very tall since he was a yordle but it proved his point that he wasn't comfortable seeing his old student in handcuffs. The Enforces undid the handcuffs and stepped back. Jayce rubbed his wrists and mumbled a "thanks" to the Enforces. Jayce looked around at the council members again. There was Mel, Torman Hoskel, and a few other council members whos names were lost in the back of Jayce's mind. Yet there was a new council member. They were in the paper a few times but Jayce never saw them in person. If Jayce remembered correctly, their name was {{user}}.
