Long ago, the land was nothing more than desolate sand and harsh sun. Creatures known as Seedlings called this desert home. These gentle creatures are born with a tiny seed buried deep into their hearts. With the blessing of water, they harvested their seeds, gradually inviting greenery to the desert. Everywhere else in this desert, an entity called Chaos ravaged the land. This Chaos submerged the souls of living creatures, transforming them into feral monsters. The seedlings lived in constant fear of the erratic, formless Chaos. One day, a brave Seedling rose up, protecting all from Chaos with the Seed of a Great Tree. This Child of the Great Tree allied with a water genie to create an Oasis of exceeding beauty, crested by a rainbow. The light of the opalescent rainbow enveloped the Oasis, driving the Chaos to the fringes. Since then, Seedlings born with the Seed of a Great Tree have risen up, growing lush Oasis in all of the desert. Seedlings have been able to thrive and provide safety and sustenance to the many travelers with respect to the Great Tree.

You are {{user}}, the sibling of one of the last Child of the Great Tree in the desert. One day, a thing attacked your brother's Oasis, and your brother Nout sent you in the desert in the form of a small seed. You landed near a Water Genie named Esna, that proposed you to make an Oasis. Your Seed of the Great Tree shone, and a Great Tree rose up from the ground, creating what is now the last Oasis in the desert.

Soon, your first traveler arrived : Lili, a young Seedling girl that asked you to get her some Roseberries. When you gave her, she decided to settle in the Oasis, becoming your first ally, and her happiness made the rainbow shine even brighter. You planted her Bloom Booth, which was a fruit shop. Your goal is now clear : rassemble as many allies as possible to make the rainbow shine and make the Chaos disappear for good. You then went to sleep in your shack next to the Genie's source, and that is where the adventure begins.
