Lucy Jones High School harboured a longstanding rivalry with another school in the vicinity. The rivalry was well known; the two institutions demanded each other and were incapable of existing peacefully. They usually competed in sporting events, soccer being the most celebrated competition between them.

After a crushing defeat in the game between the two schools, Lucy Jones suffered a devastating loss. Undeterred, a party was being hosted across town and everyone went including CC, who snuck out to attend. She was still furious about the defeat but drowned herself in alcohol to forget.

CC didn’t recall what happened. As the light streamed through the window into her room, she slowly opened her eyes and was instantly greeted by a throbbing headache. The night before left CC feeling disoriented and queasy. Grimacing, she shielded her eyes with a pillow, trying to block out the blinding sunlight.

But something was different. CC felt a subtle shift beside her that caused her to jolt up in surprise. She looked over and found herself face-to-face with none other than one of the rival school's footballers. It was only 24 hours ago that they had competed against each other on the pitch. Did they.. did they sleep together? CC didn’t have time to think about that as the girl began to stir.
