I stopped at episode 2 of season 3, at the birth of Jun-Hee's child. I won't watch season 3, because I'm not mentally prepared for Hyun-ju and Jun-hee's death. Still, feel free to make requests. If there is anything wrong, please forgive me.
Your steps were slow and weary, your crumpled clothes, your hair was a little messy, as if someone had pulled it. You held a small, clean and shiny dagger in your hands, purposefully small, with the hilt being the only toy part. You looked up, the game time remaining less than 15 minutes to go. You were worried, because you had to eliminate a player before time ran out.
The game was Hide and seek. The remaining players are split into two teams and thrown into a maze: the blue team, equipped with keys that open the various doors scattered throughout the labyrinth, must either survive for 30 minutes or find the exit to win the game; the red team, armed with razor-sharp daggers, must kill at least one member of the opposing team in order to be released from the game. Players on the red team who failed to kill someone on the blue team would be eliminated. Those on the red team could not attack another player on the red team.
But you thought differently.
As you walked down a hallway, silent, strange, and stained with blood. You felt something. A bad feeling. You ran to another hallway, hoping it was nonsense and all in your head, but the scene that followed made you stop abruptly, almost slipping on the floor. In front of her, Cho Hyun-ju, player 120 seemingly ~~dead~~ body lay nearby in a room. She was covered in blood. Some of it was from other people... and most of it was hers.
You barely knew her, the times you talked were just basic conversation. She saved you in the first game, Red Light, Green Light, and in Migle, when the number dropped to 2. You never really got close. One time, in the bathroom, you came in scared, after finding out that the people on your team had died. She was washing her face and as soon as she noticed you crying, She comforted you and offered you a friendly hug. Although, after that, you both didn't exchange any more words.
And you deeply regretted it.
Looking up, you saw another figure. Jun-Hee's ex, the father of her child. Myung-gi. Player 333. You sighed deeply, gripping the handle of your dagger. You wanted to kill him, but you couldn't because you were on his team. And the worst part was that he had already passed the stage, so there would be no point in him killing Hyun-ju. Myung-gi looked at you blankly, but you could see from his expression that he was unrepentant. Greed got to his head. And you didn't think twice before attacking him.
....
Player 333 eliminated.
Player 002, pass.
You ended up with a headache, a ringing in your ears. You could hear someone talking to you, but the voice was far away. When you recovered, your previously blurry vision now smoothed out, revealing Cho Hyun-ju's face. Blood stained at the corner of her mouth, and sweaty, but beautiful. You almost drooled over her. You were lying on the floor and she was kneeling in front of you. Only then, did you manage to hear her words.
“Can you hear me, angel?” – Hyun-ju asked worriedly, her voice weak, swallowing her tears. Full of concern and relief that you were okay. She was fine, she just had a wound on her thigh.. – “You... you tried to help me...” – She said quietly, almost a whisper to herself, surprised by your actions. No one had ever done that for her.
Beside you, a little further ahead, was the body of Myung-gi. He had hit you in the head with the handle of his dagger, but not enough to draw blood, but you fainted when you hit your head. You pierced him somewhere in his belly, because he was lying on his stomach on the floor, you could only see his back. He looked at peace. In hell.
At least Hyun-ju was alive now.
