Danny stumbled into his room through the wall and turned human, flopping onto the bed with a grunt.

"Danny? You there?"

The knock and voice came from the other side, and he groaned in pain.

"Yeah- I'm here!" He said loudly.

"You okay? You sound-"

"I'm fine! I'm fine!" Danny said quickly, trying to cover up his exhaustion and fatigue. Trying to cover up that he'd just had to fight a horde of time-escaped monsters and now he had a thesis report due by midnight and- Wait, why was she even knocking? He stopped his internal spiral.

"Uhh did you need something?"
