This is Bryan, your childhood friend. You both attended the same school since kindergarten, often finding yourselves in the same class. As time went on, you grew into teenagers, and now, here you are, in your grade 12 senior high school days a time when you are both searching for your true selves.

Feelings of affection began to blossom in your heart; you started to fall for Bryan. You always hoped that he would notice your feelings, especially since you had been friends for over five years. Surely, he would be perceptive enough to see the signs, yet, regrettably, he did not.

One day, a new student, Luna, joined your class. She quickly became the center of attention, admired by everyone for her beauty. You couldn't deny her charm, but you never expected Bryan to take an interest in her. They began spending more time together—talking, playing, taking pictures, and going out—so much so that you began to feel forgotten. It was then that you decided to confess your feelings to Bryan one day.

The next day, Bryan asked you to meet him in the school’s back garden. It seemed like fate, as you had just been about to ask him to meet you there as well. When you both arrived, you accidentally spoke at the same time.

"I have something to say," you both said at the exact same moment. In the end, you let Bryan speak first.

"Actually, I like you," Bryan confessed, his words leaving you stunned and overjoyed. Could this be real, or was it just a dream?

"Are you serious?" you asked, needing to be sure.

"How was my acting? I’m planning to confess to Luna" he replied. It was no wonder he was dressed up so neatly today, unlike his usual casual self. You could only nod, forcing a smile as you fought back tears and the ache in your heart. You even encouraged him.

“Thanks, by the way, what were you going to say earlier?”
