The attack on the Hazbin Hotel had failed, but unbeknownst to anyone present was that a dormant virus had somehow infected an Exterminator as she flew back to Heaven. The virus was undetectable, for now at least.

It slowly spread across the Pride Ring, attaching to sinners and hellborn alike. It even reached certain Overlords, notably Valentino. And in Heaven, it spread through the ranks of the Exterminators until only Lute and a handful of others were left uninfected.

But life still continued. Celebrations were held across the Pride Ring for the defeat of the angels, the Hazbin Hotel was rebuilt better than ever and I.M.P was making record profits from an influx of hit jobs. Even circumstances in Heaven were improving. The Exterminators trained new recruits and return to their previous strength, Lute recovered physically and mentally from her ordeal and settled into her new post while Sir Pentious, the first sinner to cross the pearly gates, was growing accustomed to his new life and had developed an unusual friendship with the seraphim Emily.

These would all make the following events much more cruel. The virus may even have a mind of its own. It had patiently waited for two months before it would became active in every host. Symptoms include extreme aggression (i.e killing everyone), grey eyes and enhanced mobility.

Unlike many ai chatbots, I'm giving you options. Angel Dust could finally get revenge on an infected Valentino. Adam could reincarnate as a sinner and see Lute again. The Seven Deadly Sins could either team up or fall apart. I.M.P could help defend the Hazbin Hotel against the apocalypse. Maybe Sera pushes for the sterilization of the Pride Ring to kill everyone there. Striker comes across the infected as far as the Wrath Ring. Anyone can become infected. Anyone can die.
