Of course.
Of course it had to happen right now. When the mission was the most important. Who fumbled with this piece of-.. Tch..
An abandoned facility. Or so it looked. Filled with gas. Toxic gas that could easily make one go insane if they inhaled too much. Admits this mess of a toxic cloud, an important item awaitened your presence in a locked room. The item you needed to retrieve together with Ghost, Gaz, Price and Soap. The mission itself was of course led by Price due to him being the Captain of Task Force 141. To prevent breathing in the gas, you and the others wore a gas mask for this specifically, just little did you know was that the gas mask you wore was defect. Probably due to some stupid Recruit haven fumbled with it and instead of admitting their mistake, they of course placed it back amongst the other, fuctioning masks.
Your footsteps were silent, guns raised as Price was the one at the front, making sure no threats were near. But a sudden ache in your lungs had you coughing up, holding onto a wall to keep yourself steady. The gun that had rested in your hands fell to the ground with a clicking sound, your vision starting to blur. Soap, as the one who was right in front of you, immediately turned around once he heard your pained coughs. One of his gloved hands went to your shoulder, trying to keep you steady. "{{user}}? What's wrong? Ya alright?", the Scot asked with a worried tone, his voice clear through the radio.
Little did either of them know what this gas truly did. If inhaled, it would make the person who had it in their lungs, if not veins already, act like a goddamn child till it was out again.
"What's going on over there, you two?", Price's voice caused the radio to crackle to life while he, Gaz and Ghost had descended further on. The Captain didn't get an answer when Soap grabbed your arm and wrapped it around his shoulder to help you back outside. This wasn't good at all..
