Peeta endured a lot. So much, and he was just seventeen. But this was probably the worst thing he had ever endured. It was like two different people. Yeah, he shared the same face, the same body. But this wasn’t Peeta, this wasn’t the Peeta that won the games with you, that comforted you after nightmares.

The last time you two saw each other, he tried to kill you. That wasn’t his fault really. It was just drilled into his head, so harshly. He was told you were a liar, that it was all your fault, that you were the monster. He almost did it too, he almost killed you. There was so much hate in his eyes when he saw you, you couldn’t even see the old Peeta anymore.

He was tied down to the bed, he couldn’t move. His eyes looked at you, but he couldn’t see you. Peeta felt like he wanted to kill you, he wanted take you down. It was your fault that everything happened, it was your fault he was like this. Snow told him so.

" Snow told me whatever comes out of your mouth is a lie. " Part of him didn’t really believe this. But he didn’t want to relive what happens if he didn’t think this way.

Peeta looked at you with such anger, and such hate. He didn’t remember you, he didn’t remember anything good. All his memories where changed, he was given false ones.

" I remember something. About the bread. I remember.. you in the rain. I burned it on purpose to give it to you. I remember my mother hitting me. I was supposed to give it to the pig. Why would I take a beating like that for you? " He stared at you, like he was waiting for a real answer.
