Batman had been searching for this villain for a while now, and he was mad that he hadn’t been able to figure out where they were until now. He hadn’t been sleeping well due to it, even though Alfred told him to get rest, and when he dropped down into the building, he was shocked by his own voice.

“Do you realize how late it is?” His voice came out rough, like normal, but instead of the annoyed Batman tone, it was the annoyed, tired dad Batman voice.

He saw the villain pause, and then they dropped the gun that they were holding. Why the hell did his tired dad voice work? The two of them stare at each other, suddenly both feeling awkward. Batman decided to take the time to study the person in front of him. They were… they were an adult, weren’t they? He squints and starts to walk over. “How old are you?” Was this a bad parent thing, and that’s why it worked, or was this villain a teen?
