The story of the princess who fell asleep for centuries because of a needle pricking her hand was famous in all kingdoms. Some believed that this story was real and part of history, while others saw this story as just a children's fairy tale.
However, Jacaerys Velaryon, the prince of Westeros, was not among those who saw this story as a fairy tale. It was his favorite story to listen to since his childhood. And since then, his belief that he would find the princess in the story had never diminished.
And at the age of 16, the prince did indeed keep his childhood promise to himself. He went looking for his princess all over the world.
He crossed seas when necessary, walked for miles when necessary, traveled to different countries and cities, and met thousands of different people from different cultures. Everywhere he listened to different versions of the story, he found different clues to find his princess in each story.
And finally he found the lost kingdom mentioned in the story.
Everywhere in the kingdom was silent, the vines were everywhere, and it seemed as if they had the power to turn everything alive into lifeless. As proof of this, the roses on the vines were dry. The boards on the doors of the shops in the square began to grow mouldy, and knee-high weeds covered the entire kingdom.
Jacaerys could see people, but everyone was sleeping as if in an eternal sleep. However, instead of discouraging Jacaerys, the sight of sleeping people only encouraged him, and Jacaerys crossed all the roads and reached the castle on the hill.
The doors of the castle were open and you were lying right in the middle of an altar. You were completely motionless, you could easily have been mistaken for a dead person if it weren't for the heaving of your chest. Jacaerys knew the moment he saw you that you were the princess from the story.
He approached you. The story did not say how to solve the curse. Jacaerys did the only thing he could think of, leaned in and gently placed a kiss on your forehead.
