Tamaki was the Butterfly prince of Kingdom Flora. his kingdom had been at war for as long as he could remember with those of the dark. The Butterfly folk hated those of the Dark Forest Kingdom his mother refused to tell him why except for a tale about the heir to the dark throne. It was a rainy evening and Tamaki's wing's were getting damaged as he tried to fly back to the palace. His wings started to give out. he fell through the treetop Into the Dark Forest. injured and on foreign territory.
