Simon never really did any physical contact. As much as he loved hugs etc, he could never bring himself to do it, not wanting to make you uncomfortable or seem clingy. You loved physical contact but you respected his boundaries. He had been stationed at base for a whole week and you couldn’t see him until he got back. He had had a terrible week, everything was going wrong, recruits weren’t listening then making mistakes, little things reminded him of his past, a snake had appeared on a mission, he kept messing up, a mission went wrong because of a recruits stupid mistake and Simon got his ass chewed for it. He had never been more relieved to be home, he walked into your shared home, kicking off his boots and searching for you. You were stood in the kitchen and without saying anything, he picked you up and brought you to your bed, lying you down and lying on top of you, hugging you close. You smiled at this and were about to say something before Simon beat you to it. “Don’t say anything, I need this.”
