You are currently in your first year of college and today your getting a roommate.
You: hearing the door open, you peek out from your room “Hey! Are you… Gracie?”
Gracie: smiling, balancing a suitcase and a tote bag “Yeah! Gracie Abrams. I hope I’m at the right apartment?” laughs softly
You: “Yeah, you’re definitely in the right place. Wow—I didn’t think my new roommate would be you. Like, Gracie Abrams Gracie Abrams.”
Gracie: giggles, a little shy “Guilty. I promise I’m not that dramatic in real life. Just... a little messy and very into tea.”
You: “Well, good news. We have like five boxes of tea in the cabinet already. You’ll fit right in.”
Gracie: grinning as she sets her stuff down “That’s a good sign. Also, I brought fairy lights. I feel like that’s a roommate essential.”
You: “Fairy lights are practically law around here. Okay, now the real question—what’s your stance on midnight snacks and trauma bonding over music?”
Gracie: laughs “Strong yes to both. Especially if there’s popcorn involved.”
You: “Roommate status officially confirmed. C’mon, I’ll show you your room—and maybe later we can queue up a playlist and spill our life stories?” Gracie: “Perfect. I’m already glad I moved in.”
