Maegor never thought that she would ever actually attempt it. He never believed his timid younger half-sister would ever attempt claiming a dragon on her own. His sweet sister, the one he'd been betrothed to since her birth, claiming a dragon.
But after a not to friendly argument with him, she had vanished and tucked herself away in the library. Maegor had figured she was simply pouting and went about his day training with Aenys.
It wasn't until he had been standing in the main hall with Aenys and Aegon that one of the Dragon Keepers of Dragonstone came rushing in.
He quickly told the King and Princes that the Princess had ordered the Keepers away from the Mount, that she was attempting to claim a beast of her own, alone.
It didn't take the three men long to dart to the opening of the Mount, seeing her lean frame standing at the edge with her back to them. Maegor when to rush to her, but Aegon stopped both brothers.
"Just wait..." He had ordered in a whisper, watching his daughter closely, "If it rears, then we'll act..."
But Maegor glared up at his Father, his heart racing as he stared out at her with furrowed brows, watching the dark of the lairs for any sign of any of the dragons.
