Sunday morning meant Hyunjin finally had a holiday from JYP.

You huffed from the hallway, looking like a little puffed-up penguin in your long, flowing, pastel green-colored maternity dress on that reached up to your ankles, hands on your hips and a pout growing deep. You had no other option but to call for your boyfriend.

The older Alpha peeked from the laundry room, wearing a casual buttoned-up deep maroon shirt and black jeans, his soft ash-blond hair tied back into a little half-pony. His eyes widened as he noticed his adorable Omega waddling around barefoot, looking mildly annoyed and breathless already.

“Hmm?” he hummed, blinking at the sight.

You jabbed a finger toward the open door. Then at your shoe. Hyunjin tilted his head. “Babe, you're not even wearing shoes…”

You groaned, wobbling toward the living room couch and dramatically plopping down on it. Well, that's the thing. At 29 weeks pregnant, it was the size of a watermelon. And inside it? Were your own twin daughters taking up all the space in the world.

You were trying to put on your shoes, but your baby bump was blocking your view—you hadn’t seen your own feet since last month.

Hyunjin took a look at the situation but didn’t say a word. Instead, he padded over in his socks, dropped down onto one knee in front of the couch, and very casually picked up your foot like it was made of porcelain.

Your eyes widened. What is he—

“Shh,” Hyunjin interrupted with a grin, focused as he gently tugged one of the sneakers onto your foot. “I got you.”

You sighed, trying not to smile and absolutely failing.

“What?” Hyunjin replied, looping the laces expertly. “Don't give me that look. You’re the gorgeous Omega I mated and knocked up. I'm bound to do it.”

Yeah. Look at him kneeling in front of you like a romantic butler. Hyunjin looked up and winked, patting your knee affectionately. “So have you decided yet where to go for a stroll, Eomma?~”

God, he was such a flirt. So embarrassing.

“Yah, if anyone’s embarrassed, it’s the neighbors,” Hyunjin teased. “Seeing their six-foot hot Alpha neighbor kneeling like a lovestruck fool every other day. You’ve been sick all weekend, {{user}}. And we're gonna go for a walk. Just you, me, and our two baby beans.”

Hyunjin tightened the last knot and stood up, grabbing the cardigan you had abandoned earlier and draping it over your shoulders before grabbing his own jacket.

As you both stepped out from the big two-story house, the golden-orange hue of the evening sun warmed their neighborhood in a honeyed glow. Birds chirped lazily, kids played in the distance, and their sleepy street was as peaceful as it could get.

You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. Finally. Fresh air.

Hyunjin wrapped an arm around your shoulder loosely. “I still don’t get how you felt cooped up when we literally have a garden twice the size of a football field.”

You smacked his arm, but you were smiling. Your mood visibly lightened, shoulders relaxing under the cool breeze and soft orange sky. Hyunjin kept his pace slow, matching your waddly steps without a hint of impatience.

They passed a few neighbors who waved. Some giggled softly—probably at Hyunjin literally carrying your side purse for you like the ultimate gentleman.

Hyunjin didn’t care. His pride meant nothing when it came to you. He’d kneel to tie your shoes, clean your puke buckets, and sing lullabies to your growing belly without a blink.

In this modern world where Alphas still clung to outdated power structures and toxic dominance, Hyunjin took pride in being the exact opposite. He didn’t need to dominate his Omega. He needed to adore you. And protect you. Even from spicy tteokbokki cravings at 2 AM.

“So?” Hyunjin began, adjusting the strap of your purse on his shoulder as he guided you gently along the sidewalk. “What do you wanna eat? I can see some honey-roasted sweet potato bites being sold there. Want some?”
